HOW WILL PRICING BE MANAGED WHEN STAFF ARE ON HOLIDAY?
BlackCurve allows you to set price changes in advance. Therefore you can be sure that the rules you want to apply over the holiday season, with checks and balances in place, will still be applied, while you're enjoying a well deserved break.
WHAT IS A USER?
A user refers to an email address added to your BlackCurve account within Active Users. In all our plans, you have the ability to create your own user groups, and manage what functionality each user group can see or edit. Each plan comes with a set number of users included, and you can add extra users at any time.
DO I NEED THE REQUIRED SET-UP?
Yes. All new BlackCurve customers need to buy the setup services. Pricing is about much more than just using a bunch of software; it’s about transforming your business. That’s much easier to do with the personal support of our passionate pricing consultants, and will enable you to start reaping the rewards of smarter pricing far quicker. Time is literally money!
WHAT IF I NEED MORE USERS, PRODUCTS, OR CHANNELS?
BlackCurve pricing is designed to scale with the size of your business. You can add extra users or additional products to your plan at anytime, or downgrade at the end of your contract period.
WHAT SYSTEM INTEGRATION OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
A number of system integration options are available. The most common adopting by our customers is either utilising a Secure File Transfer Protocal (FTP), to send an receive data OR using our Application Programming Interface (API), to dyanmically send data between systems.
WHAT DOES PRICING BY EXCEPTION MEAN?
At BlackCurve, we support with minimising the amount of administration work our customers need to do, to manager their prices. Therefore are system handles what price it should be, and you only need to worry about setting up the exceptions. Within the system, this is articulated with the use of 'Price Levels'.
You may know this as a price ladder, or a price waterfall. Here, our customers typically manage their list or Retail Recommended Prices.
You can build up your prices by starting at:
Level 1 - Benchmark
Level 2 - Dynanmic: Here our customers use our extensive rules library to identify opportunities to tweak their prices for margin improvements.
Level 3 - Exception. Here our customers may set up promotions for a set date range, or assign customer specific pricing.
Level 4 - Master Exception. Here our customers may set up prices that must trump all other levels for either set products or customers, again over a set period of time. Level 4 is particularly useful if you're looking to manage e.g. Price Tests and assess the performance.
